Today was an extremely successful day. I am thoroughly exhausted at the present moment and look forward to staring at my eye lids for 8 hours. Werk.
Last night we got about 6 hours of sleep, got up, and went to church at Prestonwood. I love that church is so big and there are so many people it just shows the impact that God has on people. The moral of the story today was basically don't follow God at a distance... Like Peter did when the Romans took Jesus away! (Luke 22:54 if you wanna see). The other moral was that we are all great sinners but Jesus is a greater savior!
After church we drove over to my aunts new little apartment to pick up my grandma. She was so thrilled to go to lunch with us. She was all ready to leave when we got there. I walked the dog for we, and we adventured off in Brooke's Mini Cooper. We had lunch at La Madaline, a French restaurant, it wa super good, but we sat in a back room which was kind of stuffy and smelled a little funny... Probably because there were about 400 people in a 11x11" room... We bought an extra baguette to send home with grandma because she just loves her bread.
Grams chatted up a storm about various things. Conversations with old neighbors, hip surgeries, seeing Marilyn Monroe in San Fransico when she worked for Pan Am, the Asian people she doesn't like be use they were rude to her when she worked for Pan Am. She doesn't mind the your Asians, it's just the older ones... Probably Pearl Harbor hard feelings... Which is understandable!
After lunch we went to Stonebrair Mall and got grams a wheelchair and drive her around Macy's, because grams just loves Macy's! We got stuck a few times in the handbags section because the isles were a little bit small... Hahaha or I am a bad navigator. We will go with the first option. While attempting to navigate the handbags, we spotted a fashion line they carried called furry frenzie or something stupid about dogs and cats. We rooted around and found a little wristlet with a shitzu on it and it was on clearance, and grams was in love. She loves Pompi more than life itself. So carrying on I found an adorable yellow messenger bag in the Nine West section. It was great. Grams bought it for me for my trip to Mexico! It's so cute!
We dropped grams off back at the apartment and said our goodbyes. She must have called Vicki right away because she texted us and said grams had a "GREAT" time and such. It was heartwarming. We proceeded back to Brooke's house, met up with mom and went to Starbucks to get a pick-me-up and cheesecake brownie, then to Lynn's Spa and Nails in Plano. It was a the BEST pedicure I have ever had in y life. It was called something about seaside escape but it was just so relaxing. There was a clay mask for your legs, hot towels, wax for your footies and my little Asian man had hands of the gods. Best massage of my life. I have never had a better pedicure. (That's why I wrote the actual name of the place, so I remember and go back there!)
I also decided today that I want to move to this area when I graduate college! I hate ohio. Texas is just nice. Except for the droughts... Worth it. At least it is sunny almost everyday. What's a sun? I am not sure what that huge bright blinding circle is in the sky...
After the best pedicure life can offer, we went back home and prepared to drive to the farm out in Waxahachie. I have to drive because the roads are confusing so Brooke navigates as people attempt to cut me off like a stinky turd on the highway. We make it to Dallas and Brooke freaks out about cupcakes... Uhhh wut? Sprinkles Cupcakes started in LA, and branched to Dallas and are apparently the greatest thing God has out on this planet. So we detour to find Sprinkles Cupcakes. We order a red velvet, Irish chocolate, and dark chocolate. And we wait to eat them until after dinner like good children do.
We get to the farm in one piece, only the keychain to the car is broke under my trying to hunk it out of the ignition. Oops. First thing we shoot the 12 gauge. Brooke went first, missed once or twice and then shot the random slab of wood we were shooting at. She did good for first time and a kickin gun. Me, this ole girl, hit it dead in first shot. Holla hillbilly swag. Stay away criminals coz ill shoot your nuts off with one eye open. Boom. Dead nuts.
Uncle Rick made a pot roast with onions, carrots, and taters. It was delish. Also has grilled corn on the cob. I had two corns! Yum. The cupcakes WERE delicious! I approved of them. Frans joined us for dinner, as well as lacy hiding under the table.
The Walking Dead was on, so I watched that on the best TV I have ever seen. I could see the pores on people's faces. It was insane. Eyeball blowing. We then went to Walmart and bought snacks and travel sized soaps. I got a green loofa. We also got tank tops to cut up like some thing Brooke found on pintrest. We're too tired to do it tonight so we showered up and are now watching Duck Dynasty on an even bigger TV in the "media room". This house is epic. Straight up epic.
I forgot my bra at Brooke's house in Plano, so I am braless for tomorrow....
Tomorrow comes the Gallaria, and lots of yogurt...
Oh my toes look so cute. The amazing Asian man put a flower design on it. Prefer. Princess pampering day 2 = complete.
