End FYI

My suitcase was left behind in Dallas... So they're bringing it to Mansfield tomorrow for me. I am so tired. It's a sign that I should have stayed in Dallas.

My conclusion right now from this trip is to take what I have with a smile on my face. At least I have nice running water in my apartment and not sewer water like many Mexicans.. I also know I can live wherever the ell I want to live and do whatever the hell I want to do in life because guess what, it is my life. So BOYAH! I'm going to dick around for a year after college before I do any seriously settling.

My gypsy blood needs thinned before I can settle down. Traveling is in my blood and I have a wonderlust that will never be sedated.

A HUGE thank you to my uncle for making this trip (and many others) possible ad including me in so many wonderful things. Also to Brooke for inviting me and loving me and being one of my best friends and cousin. I love you girl. And another big thank you to Brooke's mom, Jamie for taking me in and treating me like one of her own. You guys are all so good to me and I could never ask for better family. LOVE YOU ALL!

That's enough sappyness before I cry.

This is me checking out of this blog. Look for me in London in September! Hopefully I will go somewhere during the summer!

Day 9 Leaving Dallas

Back to Ohio I go tonight! Ugh.

I am looking forward to my next adventure in London. So I will just focus on that and passing this semester!

I slept in today until like 10:30 which was sort of epic. Loafed around all morning, Jamie made breakfast. Quite a big feast! She is so sweet. I love all my family!

I packed my suitcase which proved to be quite difficult because I have a lot of things in there... Booze, bowls, and blankets. Lol.

Brooke and I went to the mall and went to Sephora and got this beach wave stuff for my hair because it is awesome. Kbye. Then we went to target, got the usual for this trip (ice Carmel Machiatto). Ran around and got some good lotion. Praise God.

We went through an interesting car wash! It was one with actual sponge things that washed it! Not just jets. So it was sweet.

We're going to dinner with Uncle Buffy, Vicki and Grams at BJs BBQ or whatever it is! Then I am off to Ohio. I am excited to see everyone :)

I painted my nails. They are messy. What a slob.

Day 8 Leaving Baja

It is a sad day! Today we are headed back to Dallas. This was such a wonderful trip! I am so thankful I got to come here. How amazing. This truly is paradise. I understand why people love the tropics now!

We ha breakfast again, then went poolside and hung out and swam a little bit. We looked around for Bart to say adios but we couldn't find him.

Down on the beach the little sales people were waiting for us with their blankets, as promised. We saw the creepy guy in the green hat and avoided him like the plague even though he called to us "amigas amigas!" No no no. Walk on!!! Rick stopped and got a henna from the guy in the green hat's amigo.

Brooke and I progressed to pick out our blankets, I bought her one :) and I got them for about 700 pesos... He wanted 50 American dollars for each... So no, we haggled him down. I didn't wanna get too far down coz I know they needs the money. Poor Mexicans. He let us take them up to the resort before we paid for them because I had to go to the ATM. It was weird because we just took them with us. Lol! He insisted.

We proceeded down the beach to the other group of sales people, and it was a long walk! Hot feet! We got there and were instantly approached by a guy and he said blah blah blah necklace, I said no no señor I want one of them pretty plate for my mama. So three of the guys bustle around looking for the plate guy and see him and yell "platos!!! Platos!!!" The guy down there scrambles to pick up his loot and come to us, but I go over there instead lol heavy platos pobre hombre lol. Anyhow, I picked out a bowl thing for my mamas new kitchen. Es bonita.

Meanwhile while the guys were scrambling to find the plate man, some creeper with nasty teeth told me about five times that he had weed and if I want some. NO. Alto alto alto. Eyy eyy. Creep.

After we collected enough loot from the Chicanos on the beach, we went back to shower up, get pretty then go take so pictures on the beach. It is so beautiful here.

We took pictures, spent my last pesos at the gift shop and grabbed some sammiches and waited for five minutes for our bus. We said goodbye to Paulino, our little guide, and I have him a hug. He was so sweet and helpful to us. He's a nice man. He shuffles his feet when he is in a hurry so that's pretty cute. Lol!

Now I am on the bus looking out on the Baja desert, as we go to the airport. Adios Cabo. Te amo. Y amo Mexico y Mexicans.

I hope that after I graduate i can move here for a year, bartend and just have a good time. Then come back and live somewhere nice in the US, settle down and all that stupid crap ;)

Nothing really eventful happened on the way back except at customs the officer told us we are only supposed to have one liter of alcohol duty free per adult. Lol. We technically had 5. Oops!!! He let us go though! Horay!

I'm cuddled up with Mexican blanket and ready for bed.

Amo Mexico ❤💚💛

Day 7. Te amo, Mexico.

Hey guize guess wat. Dumb blonde strikes again apparently. The skin under my chin has been soooo dry and painful the past two days. So I wake up today and it is still shit. I've been putting on this gold bond shit that is supposed to be epic ass lotion k?

It's body wash. Next time I am going to read the fine print. WTF is this shit? Making it worse. Good grief. I'm over here nursing this shit and trying to make it healthy again but really I am drying it up even more. OMG I hate life because of this. No wonder it burned like hell. Ill never buy gold bond again. Stupid shit heads are known for making lotion, and then they give me this travel size wash shit. GO TO HELL LOTION/WASH MAKERS.

Anyway, we also missed our carpool to go o surfing, so we have to take a cab which costs $100... We were ten minutes late... And I told them we were! Oh well. We're on our way now. Good thing I brought my money because I need to buy lotion. STAT.

OMFG surfing was seriously just way too awesome. I can't even like explain this shit. There were three instructors and... Let me tell you right now, I LOVE MEXICO. I pretty much died. So anyway I caught a few waves with their help, and had a few gnarly wipe outs. Basically I ate shit. Or sand. And sea water. I seriously cleared my sinuses a million times... Anyway when the waves stirred up the sand it looked like gold flecks were floating in the water. Like a snow globe filled with gold. And when the water was still (not often) the bottom looked like it was made of gold. So beautiful... I can't even handle this place. Why do we live in Ohio? What is even good there? Nada. I love Mexicans. One of the surf guys called me "Bonita" a lot. Hehe.

I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE D:

Soy triste. No quiero va a mi casa y en el frio. Waaaa!!! No quiero va no no no no.

Once we got back to the resort, we wet a laid by the pool and had a couple drinks. I decided I wanted to go get frank a gifty thing from one of the annoying sales people. Lol. I got frank a cute bracelet that says Jesus on it lol the guy had to make it special for me. For $6. Scoreeeee! He wanted ten at first Lol. Then we had him give us some henna tats. Horay. While Brooke was getting hers some guy (one of the sales people) was tryin to sell me a tortuga carved out of wood. No gracias señor. So he proceeded to ask me if Iliked cocaine. Uhhh no. And he asked if I wanted some... Lol then after I said "no señor I'm not about to get picked up by the cartel" he asked if I wanted weed!!! Good grief. NO SEÑOR. NO QUIERO DRUGS, GRACIAS. It was funny! The guy that fixed my henna on my hip was mildly creepy.. Telling me he will wait for me on the beach and give me a "free" Mexican massage... Ummm excuse me while I vomit. Lol.... No.

I ran away after paying them. They called us back but we basically ran for our lives...

Back at the room, we chatted for a while then showered up, and now I am here, with hotel lotion on my peeling skin... WTF. In a cute dress ready for dinner and Brooke and Rick are passed out COLD. Lol goodnight. It's not even 8pm! WTF. We had a long day catching dem waves!!!

What a great vacation this has been. I could not have asked for a better one! Everyday has been filled with fun and good times. I just love it! And I love Mexico and the people in it. Es muy bien.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Te amo, Mexico.

Day 6...taken

Today the ocean claimed me.

I got sea sick while we were deep sea fishing. It was god awful. I didn't throw up but I was so nauseous! The exhaust fumes didn't help either. We caught 10 yellow fin tuna though! Es muy bien! They were so pretty but when the skipper and I got it close enough to grab he stabbed it with a HUGE hook. It was frightening. God the poor fish... Bloody AF. Ugh. Then I got sick again so I went and to lie down again in the godforsaken tiny boat. It was a good trip even though I got sick. The fish part was awesome. We let the guys have the fish. When we first went out we saw a tortuga! (Sea turtle) y whales! I saw a couple whales! They are apparently migrating this time of year! We also saw a couple schools of dolphins swimming around! There were so many swimming around! Once again in their natural habitat! So cool.

We got back, and I laid down for a skosh. while Brooke went to the beach and Rick to the bar. I went out and ate lunch by myself while was interesting but I had just my swimsuit on so it was a little awk. Birds kept me company! Lol. Awk.

I met Brooke on the beach and we laid there a while. Talked about how we want to flag down the cute little Mexican boys on the jet skis and ask them for a ride. No balls to do it though. We went for a short walk on the beach.

The sea claimed me a second time. We decide to play in the water and well the current decided it would snatch me up. It was terrifying trying to stand back up while seeing another wave coming right at you... Boom hits, pulls back, rips my glasses off, spits water into my eyes and mouth. Sand EVERYWHERE. I swear there was at least two cups of sand in my bottoms alone. Not to mention my bra. I am so pissed at this point and Brooke is freaking out. She helped me up. And I SPRINTED towards shore, not caring that my tits are bouncing to my face. Saved my own damn life as the lifeguard apparently noticed the struggle and was walking towards us. But I was already saved.

I marched back to the resort with an angry face and a body covered in sand. I must have looked wretched because even the annoying sales people didn't mess with me. I got a little rinsed off at the shower thing, then got a new towel, and went to the bar and got a drink and started looking for Brooke since she said she would meet me there... My waiter that has served me twice (once last night, and today during lunch) was there across the bar, his name was Bart. He didnt look over 17. Cute little Chicano. He looked at me with deep concern like "what in el diablo happened to you?!". How embarrassing. Lol. I got my drink with rum and slammed it. Finally found Brooke!

After my long shower the tub was filled with sand. Gross. I talked to frank for almost an hour! Room service came and filled our fridge with beer. Horay. Not that I drink that shit. My drink of choice here is Bacardi. Oye vey. We went to dinner at the Mexican restaurant. It was good as usual but I am not going to go into detail because well I am still recovering from my almost loss of life. So I had a suckling pig or whateva. It was a Mayan Dish and the bomb.com.

A mariachi band serenaded us! It was so precious!!! The sang about amour ;) eyy eyy. They were so portly and just so cute!!! Aww. I LOVE Mexicans.

I think Brooke and I are going to go play pool now. Adios amigos. Buenos noches and remember......

I LOVE MEXICANS.

And the sea claimed me. Or tried to buy I escaped 😏

Day 5 Cabo

Hola Amigos.

Yo hablo espanol. Y quiero un siesta.

Well whatever. I am covered in sea salt. Today has so far been eventful and fun. We got up around 8am, got dressed and went to breakfast. I had my first expresso. I liked it a lot. I also had two cappuccinos. I was ready for the day. We went to schedule our day with the concierge dude. Then we went to the mall to get clothes to ride the jet skis in!

The mall was cool. It was small but we found a surf shop that had what we wanted! I got a sticker to put on dads old hard suitcase. It's gonna be cool. For a surf outfit sorta and a Cabo tank top. On our way back the cab took us a weird way and we passed a road that was flooded.... It smelled awful. Raw sewage. It made me sad for the people that live there...

We got back, and went an laid on the beach for a while with mojitos and daiquiris. Est muy beuno. I talked to some Chicano that was trying I sell some jewelry to me. Of course I would pick out the expensive one... Ugh. So I didn't get it. Not that I had any money anyway...

Jet skiing was next on the list. Once we got our skiis, which took a decent while, it was so amazing. I was solo for a while. It was so beautiful on the sea of Cortez. I drove around to the rock formations and gazed at the natural arch. A sea lion just popped his head above the water for a second at one point! It was so awesome to see the animal in their natural habitat and not a zoo! Since under my chin is burnt, or dry or whatever it is that is making it hurt and burn.... I ended up pulling my shirt off and putting it on my neck so the wind and sea water wouldn't hurt it like it had been doing! It burned! I also got salt water in my eyes while I was driving and it was so painful! Lol. Worth it. Anyway with Brooke we went all around and I actually enjoyed riding on the back more than I thought I would. It was relaxing. We went back to the arch and or closer than I did. And on one of the rock things there was a huge pack of sea lions! Over a dozen were there! God did they smell TERRIBLE. Pew.

After returning to shore, because we were out of time and freezing our asses off, we went to wash our sun glasses off and then say at a bar with swings for "stools". It was cute. But we were still really cold. I had a corona. Eventually I asked the (cute) bartender if we could sit in the while lounge chairs over in the sun, because we were cold. He kind of disregarded my question and told me he had a poncho I can wear instead!! Lol! So he brought be a one! It was very warm, like it had been laying in the sun! Thank god because I was about to turn into frosty the snowman because of the wind.

After the bar we went out by the water again and got some more sun. Rick got a henna tat on his arm of barbed wire lol. The Chicanos tried to sell us all kinds of shit. It got pretty annoying. Like "alto, quiero dormir". Geeze. I jus started ignoring them after a while... Oh well. Ii asked a guy if he had the time, in espanol. Winning.

Dinner was cool. We went to the buffet style place for the quickness and practicality. It was the best buffet I have had! So much stuff and it was so good! Loads of fresh fish! Mexicans love sushi! WTF. I had a glass of zinfandel wine and it was rancid. Lol. Ill stick to margaritas. We got our pic with some dressed up Chica . She was dressed so cool!

After dinner we decided to play pool. Getting the coins to do so was interesting. We had to use the ATM to get some pesos out... The thing didnt have a language option! Only Spanish. I mean, I know some Spanish but not crap that is on an ATM. I know how to say "I want a beer"... Anyhow after snickering over the ATM, asking a handsome resort employee the exchange rate...and agreeing to the $6 service fee... We got out $500 pesos. Went to the front desk and got change for the pesos.

We played pool. Broke and I won! There was a guy there who was from Columbus! He said hi to me because I had my pay shirt on! Yay! Two people said something to me regarding OSU! (Positive feedback).

The resort provides us with packed sammiches and salads if we are going out, so we gathered some up after a long contemplation on which thin sammiches to get... They even had the crust cut off! Fancyyyy.

I am extremely tired from today's activities! My face is lobsteresk, and my dry skin neck is nasty and painful! Wtf. Why am I healthy in Ohio but a medical disaster when I leave? THIS IS WHY WE DON'T HAVE NICE THINGS.

Deep sea fishing tomorrow! 6:30am. Boom. Expresso to go.

Buenos noches.

Day 4 arrival in Cabo San Lucas

Hola twerps.

We arrived in one peice to Cabo thanks to our captain Mr Glenn Corman... hahaha i was dying. Did you catch the reference to Family Guy's one and only Glenn Quagmire who is also a pilot. I giggled. And Of course I sat by a couple from Ann Arbor, MI. What are the odds? Geeze... Wolverines everywhere. They were nice though :) The airport at Cabo was nice but the people... Oh my gosh. Trying to tell us a "better cab" or a "better resort" with discounts and stuff. All at the airport. It was bizarre. Uncle Rick fell prey to two of them but I could see he was just too kind to tell them "no". So naturally I butted in. And we were on our way! Hahaha. We couldn't find our actual cab because the people that you would think would help you, did not. They only tried to sell you something else. So I go up to a bar outside the airport and ask him what to do. My logic was that he would only try to sell me a drink (which he didn't) so it was cool. He pointed us in the right direction!

We got on the shuttle and got to Riu Palace. On the way we went through the Baja Desert. It was so beautiful in such a different way. It showed me the true immensity of the world! The tropics and dessert is so different from the temperate climates I have been to.

We were welcomed to the resort with Margaritas, beer, and some fruit cocktail. "Welcome home" said the little Mexican waiter. Everyone there was so awesome. They treated us like celebrities! Although our room wasnt ready for us for another few hours.

We went to explore a bit and grab lunch. We went to a "specialty resturant" (Japanese). It was a 4 course lunch...... Geeze. The waitress put our napkins on our laps for us after pulling out our chairs. I had a glass of wine, it was good at first but then was too bitter. First course was fresh sushi. It was so delicious. I don't normally like the sashimi or whatever it is called with just rice and a piece of fish but the salmon was so delicious... Second course I had a salmon salad thing. It had seaweed salad, peanuts, escargot, and salmon on it. Very good... Next wok fried grouper. It was ok. It had bell peppers in it so that kind of ruined it for me because I despise those! But it was prepared well and tasted good (the fish). On top of the dish was something really weird... It moved... It looked like little nasty barnicals or something. I think the waitresses said something about "marrow" in it... Awk.i ate it of course lol. Fried ice cream for dessert! It was LITERALLY fried! So when you broke the shell, the ball of ice cream was a little melted! It was incredible! Peaches on the side ;)

We then walked around. Went down on the sand and were bombarded by sales people trying to sell this and that. They had some beautiful pottery.... I kind of want one but idk how to bring it home... Middle of my clothes I suppose. We spotted henna tattoos.

After getting our bathing suits on, we went back down to the beach, and haggled to get some henna for $20 for both of us rather than $40 that he initially wanted. So we each got one on our hip. Brooke got a sun and I got a moon with a sleepy face. He is cute. The guys that did it were really funny. The one helped us pick them out, and when the other was drawing on me he walked by and said "ohhhh that's a gonna be a very seeeeexy" hahahaha. I couldn't help but laugh. Brooke laughed so I lost it and the dude almost messed up. But he didn't. Then Brooke got hers done.

We then went and laid in the sun to get some color. We had to shoo away the sales people about half a dozen times. Eventually I pretended to sleep!

At one point this guy (Mexican) walked by us headed over to a jet ski or something. He had a resort outfit on or lifeguard thing... He said hola to me when I looked at him. Ill tell you... He was beautiful.

It got cold after a while because the wind was blowing and the sun was starting to set. Brooke and I set off to find Rick, as we had left him at the bar. Somehow we found him easily. Went back to the room, unpacked. And now here I am.

We are going to a nice dinner tonight so I get to wear a cute dress and such. Brooke is in the shower now and I'm next. Can't wait because I feel grimy from the sand.

There is a liquor dispenser in our room with 4 bottles of Smirnoff, Jose Cuervo, Bacardi, and some sort of rum. (Why's all the rum gone?) all inclusive resorts are sweet. Walk up to the bar, get whatever you want and walk away. Boom done.

Gotta watch them and ask them for top shelf though. They gave me poison tequila in my piña colada. Good grief it tasted like a hangover waiting to happen. No thank you señor.

I iMessages mom and said we got her e and I have wifi. Her reply= this better not cost me. You grump! It won't. I made sure i turned off all cellular and SMS and MMS messaging. The beauty of the iPhone.

OMG dinner tonight was so good, I can't even come to tell. Apparently it's usual to have four courses. Salad was first, bread, an a seafood platter. That's all just appetizer. Not to mention a sangria drink they gave us on the walk to the table. Which he actually took from me to carry downstairs so I didn't have to... Geeze. So fancy. Surf and turf for my main course. Lobster and steak cooked to perfection... Then a chocolate cake thing for dessert.. It wasnt very good. Brooke and Rick had Alaskan Suflee. And the dude lit it on fire! It was awesome!

Then we went upstairs and sat at the bar and waiting for the Michael Jackson show. Let me tell you, Mexico LOVES da king of pop. Dayum. Loves him. Brooke and I stayed for two songs and couldn't really deal with much more than that.

I look forward to potential activities of skydiving, surfing, jet skiing, scuba and drunkenness.

Goodnight.

Mexico loves MJ. Lots.
